Contrary to popular beliefs, poke is very simple to make.

Serves 4

1 lb cubed fresh local tuna.

1 oz premium sesame oil

1 oz premium soy sauce

1 oz green onion slices

1 oz diced red or yellow onions ( whatever is local to your area)

A dash or 2 Local sea salt

2 oz chopped Ogo seaweed ( substitute limu)

Simply gently combine all the ingredients and serve ontop warm steamed rice.

Fried onion or shallot chips, Sriracha or sriracha mayo are your typical toppings.

Best Poke I had in years was from a fair in Waimea on the Big Island in 2015. I remember it like it was yesterday because I was so overcome by the flavors I dropped my iPhone and smashed the screen and I didn’t even care because this poke was just that good! I will have to try this one recipe and see what my response is, but I can’t afford To drop anymore iPhones! I will be sending you the bill if I do!
