The Prime Minister's Chef

When Mrs. Sherry Brookes of Grand Bahama's acclaimed restaurant, The Dolphin Clubhouse calls and says you are invited to cook for a dinner group hosted by your nation's leader, you don't walk, you fly and run over.

The Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, our nation's Prime Minister joined by the Minister of Tourism, other cabinet ministers  and 14 other invited guests were brave enough to sit and  enjoy their first ever true farm to table dinner. With more than 80% of the main ingredients being local, it was an honor to have all the guests rediscover Our Food in a way the had not ever experienced before.

With the help of Chef Basil Dean Jr. of the Grand Lucayan, Freeport, Ms. Anna Lightbourne, pastry chef of the Grand Lucayan, Freeport, Chef Hiram Kemp, the management and staff of the Dolphin, the Prime Minister and guests noted that it was, "one of the best meals ever".
